Help with CoreReserve

Answers to the questions we hear most, and a direct line to us if yours isn't here. CoreReserve stores everything on your device, so most things can be sorted out in the app itself.

Common questions

01Setting a "running low" threshold

Open an item and set its threshold to the quantity at which you want to be warned. When the count reaches that number or falls below it, the item is flagged as running low and rises to the top of the list.

Thresholds are per item, so a bulk staple and a single box of plasters can each have a sensible limit.

02Adjusting quantities quickly

Swipe a row in the list to take its quantity up or down without opening the item. It's the fastest way to record what you've just used or just bought.

For a bigger correction — a full restock, say — open the item and type the new quantity directly.

03Organising categories

Every item belongs to a category, and categories are yours to name: pantry, cleaning, first aid, frozen, pet supplies. Items are grouped by category throughout the app, so you can take stock of one cupboard at a time.

Moving an item between categories is done by editing the item; its quantity and threshold stay as they were.

04Reading the statistics

The statistics screen shows how your stock is distributed with a chart broken down by category, alongside the number of items currently running low.

It's the quickest way to see whether one cupboard is doing all the work and another has quietly emptied.

05Keeping your data safe

Your inventory lives only on your device. There is no account and no cloud copy, which means deleting the app removes your items, quantities and thresholds for good.

Use your device's own backup before changing or resetting a phone if you want to keep your inventory.

06Reporting a problem

If something looks wrong, email us with your device model, your iOS version and a short description of what happened. A screenshot of the screen in question helps a great deal.

We never ask for passwords or payment details in support messages.
